The legendary Lada Niva was born 40 years ago in April. In honor of round date AvtoVAZ plans to produce a special series of Lada 4×4 – “40 Anniversary”.
Lada 4×4 (aka VAZ-2121, Niva) belongs to the compact SUV segment. The first batch was released in February 1976, and the first production car was issued on April 5, 1977. A new generation of the vehicle is expected in late 2018.
According to “Kolesa.ru”, the anniversary series will have a special door trims, seats and nameplates. 6 special exterior colors will be available too.
The technical equipment of the car will remain the same – petrol engine of 1.7 liter (83hp) paired to 5-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive. The price of the new jubilee version is not yet announced, but we know that other special series Elbrus Edition and Orange Edition / Black Edition are available from 492’900 and 526’000 RUR respectively.
