According to the press service of the National marketing center Visit Russia, demonstrating the advantages of visiting Russia, it is planned to expand the advertising of the Russian cuisine, which will attract foreign tourists. At the moment, the growing interest in gastronomy of Russia is noted in Europe (England, Germany) and in Asia
Common and effective advertising method is the tasting cousine at the stands of tourist exhibitions. Degustations are held primarily for representatives of foreign tourism industry, but regular visitors – travelers have access to samples too. This is usually a small snack table – pancakes, caviar, pies, usually offered by restaurants serving Russian food, or by tour operators.
At the same time, foreign guests are attracted by culinary intrigue both in brands of traditional Russian cuisine (caviar, pies, soup, mixed vegetable salad-vinaigrette, pickles) and Soviet “herring under a fur coat”. During a regional tourist promotion local options provide local and national traditions. Thus, Tatarstan is proud with belyashi, pies cubeta and baursaks.
In addition, travelling to Russia for business travellers enables to taste the cuisine during visits to the enterprises, and for tourists travellers to try it during the tours. Special culinary events will be offered to the guests of the world Championship on football of 2018.
