Gazprom is actively investing in the creation of new and development of existing facilities for the production and processing of natural gas, and the projects are implemented according to the planned schedules. The company is increasing the maximum potential daily capacity of the underground gas storage facilities over the last five years, the figure rose to 22% from 647.7 million cubic meters to 789.9 million cubic meters by the season of 2015-2016, and in 2016-2017, it will reach 801.3 million cubic meters.
The “Eastern gas program” is one of the most important investment projects of the company. Under the project, the new gas production centers and built a gas pipeline “Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok” have been created in еру East ща Russia. The project “Sakhalin-3” includes construction of producing wells on the territory of the Kirinskoye field and the development of the Yuzhno-Kirinskoye field.
In Yakutia and the Irkutsk region, the pre-development in the Chayandinskoye field and the exploration works are held in the Kovyktinskoye field, where the Amur gas processing plant is also constructed. Also, the company is expanding the gas pipeline system on the territory from the Yamal Peninsula to the Gulf of Finland, and the field facilities are constructed in the largest on the Peninsula Bovanenkovo field, the design capacity of which will amount to 115 billion cubic meters of gas per year in the near future. In the South-West of the country, the gas transportation capacities of 31.5 cubic meters of gas per year have been built in the framework of the “Southern corridor” project, which will create conditions for future deliveries on the “Turkish stream.”
