From December 11 to December 13, 2015 in Gostiny dvor will take place the 6th Moscow international exhibition “Art of the Doll». More than 1000 artists from 26 countries of the world will participate in a unique exhibition. Fans and professional collectors, masters and artists will be able to get acquainted with the new collections of dolls provided for the project from the collections of museums, galleries and art groups. Tens of thousands of exhibits of the most rare dolls of the world will be presented to the visitors: dolls of shadow theater of the East, industrial dolls of the Soviet period and traditional – people of the world, mechanical and interior dolls, theatrical and animated, and also antiquarian dolls from private collections. In addition, guests of the event will be able to learn more about the main trends of development of the art of the doll.
Today the doll is an object of art and collectings. Sculptors, designers, graphic artists, painters, decorators paid their attention to a doll. They opened for themselves in this subject huge opportunities for synthesis of arts. An exhibition subject this year is the Golden Age of dolls. The finest, magnificent, refined, exclusive, beautiful and gentle images – a feminity embodiment, an embodiment of perfection and the alluring mystery.
Also the audience of an exhibition will have an opportunity to buy dolls and collectors’ Teddy bears, teaching literature and materials to create dolls and bears, accessories and gifts for the Christmas and Christmas tree, to take photos with unique dolls which will get to private collections and will forever drop out of sight public after the exhibition.
The exhibition is addressed to a wide audience, who will be able to see on one platform all the variety of the art of the doll, positive and clear art to the majority.
