Moscow offers visitors and residents of the capital to travel to a fairy tale. The winter festival «Journey to Christmas» starts on December 18, 2015 and will last till January 14, 2016. The magic fairy mood will be in the air at the main Moscow streets, in parks and boulevards of the capital. New Year’s decorations will shroud Tverskaya Street, Poklonnaya Gora, Manezhnaya Square and practically all districts of Moscow.
The slogan of the festival «Journey to Christmas» is «Do not be afraid to dream, dreams tend to come true». The festival will open 38 «islands of dreams», each of which will be decorated in the unique style. The visitors will see more than a hundred art objects, exciting street shows and concerts, 428 wooden exhibition constructions, various workshops, delicious food and unusual souvenirs. The production will be presented both businessmen from 40 regions of Russia, and foreigners. The festival will be attended by participants from 12 countries this year, including France, Spain, Belgium, Japan, India, Uzbekistan, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Czech Republic and others.
The organizers prepared as well for all the visitors the fascinating quests in order to make even more interesting the swimming on the ocean of the fairy tale. The winners will get special Christmas coins which can be exchanged for gifts in the specialized chalets established at the central fairs. 20 platforms of the festival will be placed in the center, the others will settle down in other districts of the city.
During a fairy journey, the visitors can walk through the historical photo labyrinth ride on the Christmas carousel and slide down the giant ice chute. Also for all the visitors there will be the skating rink on the Revolution Square, where for children and their parents will be shown the “Nutcracker” ballet in the morning, and in the evening the “Swan Lake” ballet.
At the same time with the «Journey to Christmas» festival in Moscow will be held for the first time the «Christmas light» festival. As a part of it unusual design and bright light installation will appear on 20 pedestrian streets and Christmas markets. City streets will be decorated in the Italian, French and Spanish styles. Over the Tverskaya there will be a starry sky, and the central pedestrian streets will turn into light tunnels of the general length more than 150 meters and with 2 thousand meters of light garlands. On the 9 platforms in the city centre there will be light art-constructions «year 2016».
Due to the careful organization and the fairy atmosphere of a holiday, Moscow will become the city where the most cherished dreams come true.
