Post office of Russia will switch to gas vehicles

Fleet of more than 17’000 vehicles currently in service of “Post office of Russia” will be gradually replaced with running on modern fuels. About it reported a press-service “Gazprom” have signed an agreement with FGUP “Post office of Russia” on 27 February 2017.

It is believed that the use of natural gas as a motor fuel not only gives a reduced damage of the environment, but also reducing the cost of operating vehicles. “The gradual transition to natural gas will give us substantial savings,” said Dmitry Strashnov, General Director FGUP “Post office of Russia”.

The first fleet will be an updated in the Stavropol region and Tatarstan, because they are prepared by the necessary infrastructure. “Gazprom” will cover the needs of “Post office of Russia” in the fuel, will provide them on automobile gas-filling compressor stations (AGFCS) of the company and through mobile tankers.

Projects in other regions will be lauched upon the results of the pilot project.
