State Prizes of Russia in the field of culture, 2015

On December 17 the prime minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev signed the decree about State Prizes of Russia in the field of culture for the year 2015. “Prizes are awarded to employees and workers of culture for the most talented works in the field of literature, fine art, crafts, music, theater, circus and audiovisual art, architecture and design, for outstanding educational activities in the field of culture, as well as for the creation of the most talented creative projects and works developed for children and youth”, is reported on the website of the Russian government.

Awards have got the creators of the television series “The Thaw”, the director Valeri Todorovski, the writers Dmitry Konstantinov and Elena Konstantinova, the actors Victor Isakov and Yevgeny Tsyganov. The production director Sergei Ursulyak has got an ward for the creation of the television feature film “Life and Fate”.

Ulyana Lopatkina, the soloist of the ballet of State Academic Mariinsky Theatre, has got an award for the series of the gala concerts “Great names” dedicated to outstanding art employees. The actor Oleg Pogudin has got an award for a cycle of concerts “The song connects”.

For a series of exhibitions in the framework of cultural and educational project “My Story” the awards have got the project Manager Georgy Shevkunov, editor in chief of the project Paul Kuzenkov, art director and composer of project expositions Alexander Myasnikov and chief designer of the project Pavel Smirnov.

For the creation of Russian children’s choir the award has got the conductor Valery Gergiev, project manager Paul Pozhigajlo, choirmasters of the project Valery Kalistratov, Tatyana Zhdanova and Eduard Markin.

Among the winners there is also a group of architects led by Nikita Yavein, collectives of the State Academic Capella, theater-festival “Baltic House”, Youth Theatre named Bryantseva, authors of the ten-volume book “Battle for Leningrad”, literature critic Andrei Nemzer, soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Vladimir Matorin. In total in 2015, 79 people have received the award.
