The Ukrainian government is eager to increase the investment attractiveness of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. For this purpose, a series of laws and regulations are adopted. In particular, it has been implemented reducing coefficient 0.15 for the rental of state property located in these areas. Thus, the authorities want to encourage the development of certain activities in this area, in particular renewable energy. These steps have already produced initial results. The Danish company NPP expressed interest in investing in the construction of the solar power park capacity of at least 100 MW in the Chernobyl exclusion zone. This became known after the meeting of Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine O.Semeraka and international consortium represented by Midas Consulting.
