By the end of 2015, the trade turnover between Russia and Germany fell by -35% in January-may 2016 it decreased by -23% (y-o-y). At the same time, food exports from Russia to Germany in 2016 increased by 8%, imports from Germany rose 4%. The main products of Russian export are grains, alcohol, canned fruit and vegetables, and fish.
In Russia there are more than 5.5 thousand German enterprises with a turnover of 50 billion euros. It is in Germany, according to A. V. Ulyukayev, is the most active dialogue.
“We discussed the possibility of development of joint production for output to the markets of third countries,” shared with reporters the Minister Alexei Ulyukayev. A vivid example of such cooperation is localized in Russia, the company Claas, which concluded special investment contract and will receive state subsidies and a guarantee of regulatory and tax stability. The German firm has pledged to invest about 140 million euros to increase the capacity of its plant in Krasnodar and to send for export not less than 5% of production.
On the question of “E Vesti” about expansion of possibilities of export of Russian companies in Germany, Alexei Ulyukayev said that the possibility of resumption of the suspended activities of the Russian export centre in Germany, designed for servicing Russian companies, is in process. The parties also discussed the possibility of starting a joint Fund to support cooperation of small and medium enterprises of Germany and Russia, created by the German Bank KfW and Vnesheconombank of Russia.
